Buy The Cup Coffee (BTCC) was created in the foothills of The Canadian Rockies with a mission to give Canadians access to coffee, teas and equipment for the home. Since the first day of business the store has added a variety of products and equipment to their online store. Each month new products are added in an effort to provide Canadians with easy access to superior products.
“I’m passionate about coffee because it’s so universal – it’s loved by people all over the world,” says Rob Lehnert, owner of BTCC. “There are so many ways to brew coffee and so many interesting products available that people might not know about. I want to showcase everything that the coffee industry has to offer.”
Lehnert is no stranger to the world of coffee. Following a trip to Haiti in 2011, he started his own coffee company called Café Xaragua at the age of twenty one. By teaming up with a local coffee cooperative in Haiti, Lehnert and his partners built a successful business that supports Haitian farmers by planting a tree for each bag of coffee sold. Café Xaragua buys beans directly from the co-operative, giving Lehnert a deep understanding of how coffee makes it way from seed to cup.
Almost half of Canadian homes have a single serve brewer now, so we are trying to educate and expand the offerings to that market,” continues Lehnert. “We are proud to offer a 100% biodegradable option for those looking for the convenience of single serve coffee. We also have a bunch of other options for customers interested in exploring new brewing methods".
